Startup Lady Association Commissioned to Operate “HerRise,”
a Practical Program for Women Entrepreneurs, by Shibuya City
Tokyo, Japan – The Startup Lady Association is pleased to announce that we have been commissioned by Shibuya City to operate “HerRise,” a training program and community designed for women entrepreneurs and aspiring founders.
This program is part of Shibuya Startup Support, the city’s initiative to develop Shibuya as an international hub for startups and innovation. Within this framework, HerRise focuses specifically on women entrepreneurs—fostering entrepreneurial spirit, strengthening ecosystems, and building connections with ecosystem partners to support the global growth of women founders.
Program Overview
HerRise is a practical, hands-on workshop series emphasizing immediate application and action.
Through six sessions, participants will be guided step by step—from shaping initial business ideas to developing them into actionable and feasible business plans.
The program emphasizes not only knowledge acquisition but also learning through experience, equipping participants with practical skills that can be directly applied to their ventures.
In addition to the workshops, HerRise is also a community to provide support and accountability as well as knowledge and resource sharing. Several community-curated side events will also be held to supplement, deepen and expand the skills learned in the workshops and provide touchpoints for strong community bonds.
