The Startup Lady Association (Head Office: Shinjuku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Moeko Suzuki) held STEP5 of “HerRise,” a women entrepreneur support program implemented by Shibuya City.

This session was themed “Trust to Contract: Experiencing the Realities of Sales and Contract Operations.”

With Yoshifumi Hoshino as the guest speaker, participants took part in a hands-on workshop focused on gaining practical insight into real-world sales activities and contract-related operations.

The program aimed to help participants systematically learn and develop practical skills essential after launching a business, including sales strategy, commercial transaction documents, and the fundamentals of contract operations.

Trust to Contract: Experiencing the Realities of Sales and Contract Operations

In STEP5, participants engaged in a structured program covering key practical areas required after starting a business.

Topics included approaches to sales strategy in Japan, the basics of commercial transaction documents, and essential contract-related practices.

In addition, optional one-on-one discussion sessions were offered, allowing participants to bring their own challenges and engage in direct dialogue with the instructor.

These sessions provided an opportunity to deepen practical learning through hands-on problem-solving and real-time feedback.

STEP5 Speakers

Hoshino Yoshifumi
PRESIDENT & CEO, TAYLOR INNOVATIONS INC.

After graduating from university, he worked in sales and management across several industries—including apparel, SIers, construction, and an IoT startup. He later became CEO of Taylor Innovations, leading overseas expansion projects and OEM/ODM services for connected IoT devices, while developing and selling the company’s own 4K live streaming equipment. He also co-founded Startup Lady Association, a global community for women entrepreneurs that has grown to six board members, around 20 core collaborators, and over 2,000 members in 52 countries.
In addition, he leads business development at the Game Culture Association, and founded Neo Action in Kyoto, a company supporting startups and providing apparel OEM/ODM services, where he continues to serve as CEO and director.

HerRise is a hands-on workshop series emphasizing practicality and immediate action.

Through six sessions, it supports women entrepreneurs in transforming their business ideas into viable, executable plans.

Beyond acquiring knowledge, participants gain real-world skills that can be directly applied to their ventures through experiential learning.
